HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Invariant Corporation has been awarded a major $200 million contract by the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command to develop a Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) solution. This firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract will support the design, development, and delivery of a cutting-edge Counter-Unmanned Aerial System Engagement System (CES).
The CES systems will be integrated with the existing Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) and mounted on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) trailer. Designed to defeat Group 2 and Group 3 UAS threats, this solution will offer a highly flexible and mobile UAS defeat capability.
“As the largest contract award in Invariant’s history, we are proud to expand our role in our Nation’s defense,” said Daniel Levis, Director of Technical Operations at Invariant. “With more than a decade of experience in C-UAS development, this award will allow us to continue providing technologically advanced solutions in response to the ever-changing UAS threats.”
Invariant’s CES solution will also leverage its internally developed technologies, such as the Multi-Use Launch Electronics (MULE) and the Optical Surveillance Infrared (OSIRIS) Imaging System, in combination with cutting-edge innovations from trusted partners.
The contract spans through October 2029 and has a total potential value of $200 million, including a base period and four additional ordering periods. The initial funding is sourced from fiscal year 2024 Marine Corps research, development, test, and evaluation funds, and will be obligated before the end of the fiscal year.
